*8 Nineteen Eighty Four – George Orwell
Also on my list of books to read!

*19 The Time Traveller’s Wife – Audrey Niffenegger
The movie is really good, I loved it. I'm expecting this to be an amazing book. I'm probably going to buy it soon, as I just saw the movie recently.

*33 Chronicles of Narnia – CS Lewis
*36 The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe – CS Lewis

I read these when I was a kid, but I remember liking them.

*39 Memoirs of a Geisha – Arthur Golden
I read the book some years ago because I loved the movie. I can hardly remember the book now, though.. I guess that means the book didn't make much of an impression on me.

*48 The Handmaid’s Tale – Margaret Atwood
I completely recommend this book! It's one of those "what-ifs". There's a movie from the 90s on it, but don't watch it because it's horrible!

*62 Lolita – Vladimir Nabokov
Also on my list of books to read. There's a movie based on this book, but I haven't seen it. I'd imagine the movie to be creepier than the novel, though.

*98 Hamlet – William Shakespeare
Shakespeare is so hard to understand!

*100 Les Miserables – Victor Hugo
Haven't read it, but I keep seeing the name pop up so I downloaded a free chapter a while back. Haven't read it yet, though.

I thought Animal Farm and 1984 were required reading in high schools...mainly because they are so short and easy to teach...

And, I'm shocked you haven't read the Philip Pullman "His Dark Materials"...smart fantasy novels that deal with religion. Right up your alley as Catholic Fan Girl.
