Great News!!!

As some of you may know, I participated in a 24-Hour Photography endurance event called "Long Shot." I had to take at least one photo an hour between the hours 6p on June 19th to 6p on June 20th. I then submitted my top 24 pictures. There were 100 photographers submitted 24 photos each. The reward for this is 24 photos would be chosen to be hung in a gallery on July 16th and then all of them to be sold by the end of the night for charity. I submitted my 24 photos on June 26th and they made the announcement as to which photos were chosen on Friday, July 3rd.

Out of 2400 photos, one of mine was one of the 24 chosen! It will be displayed on July 16th at Ouch My Eye Studio.

I put the winning photo in its own separate album, but you can see all the photos I have taken recently HERE.

My First Visitor Arrives

As mentioned in an earlier post, my friend Susan aka Zens came in to visit. We hung out and went to a BBQ of one of the guys I worked with. Here are the photos:

Unfortunately, our visit was cut short due to a variety of factors. I hope to see her again soon.

Flowers and stuff

These are just some highlights from Gertie's first trip to the arboretum. Don't ask me what any of these actually are as I am plant illiterate. I'm hoping to have all of these up in an online album soon. In the meantime, the whole series can be found on my Facebook profile.

My first visitor since I got furniture

My friend, Susan aka Zens, pictured on the left is coming to visit. I have not seen here since the above picture was taken at our friend's wedding. The adorable boy in the middle is Drew aka Karma. I know these people from Moviepoopshoot.com and have known them for seven years and it's been about 5 since I've seen them in person.

While on this trip, they both stayed with me. Much hilarity ensued and then Zens returned to Dallas and Drew to Detroit. However, Zens left her shoes here. I have kept them and used them to convince her to come visit so she could get them.

She felt this could be a trap. So I provided her with a picture to assure her that her shoes were well and missed her:
