I'm not sure if you are aware of a website called hulu.com, but you should check it out. You can watch full episodes of television or a handful of movies for free. They have full episodes or clips. You can to sit through :15 to :30 second commercials, but that is the only way they can afford to show them to you for free. I have found this incredibly helpful since I am cable and tivo-less at the moment. Here is a commerical for hulu that explains more:
